The 2026 planting season is underway — and early results across our grower network are giving us every reason to be confident about the quality and volume of this year’s food-grade soybean harvest.

A Promising Start Across the Network

Planting wrapped up successfully across the vast majority of our partner farms this spring. Despite variable weather conditions from region to region, early field observations are encouraging: emergence has been uniform, and early vegetative growth is progressing well where temperatures have cooperated.

Our grower network spans diverse growing environments, and 2026 has already demonstrated what that diversity means in practice. Some areas experienced heavier-than-average rainfall during the planting window, leading to localized delays and limited replanting on a small number of fields. These situations remain the exception — the large majority of our acreage was planted on schedule and is developing strong early-season vigor.

High-Performing Varieties Leading the Way

IOM Grain works exclusively with soybean varieties selected for food-grade quality, yield potential, and agronomic reliability. This season, several of our proven varieties are once again delivering strong performance across the network:

ST Laurent and ST46 — consistent emergence and early stand uniformity

IOM 240 and IOM 332 — showing solid vegetative development across multiple geographies

3417 HP, V3623, and Beck 291 — performing as expected in their respective growing zones

This variety diversity is by design. It allows us to match seed selection to local soil types, climate patterns, and end-use specifications — a key part of how we ensure consistent quality at the field level before any grain reaches a processing or export facility.

What This Means for Food Manufacturers and Buyers

For food manufacturers sourcing food-grade soybeans, early-season performance data matters. The conditions that influence final grain quality — protein content, seed coat integrity, foreign material rates — are shaped by decisions and outcomes that begin at planting.

When emergence is uniform and early nutrition is on track, we are positioned to maintain the crop management standards that translate into traceable, specification-consistent product later in the season.

As of early June 2026, crop staging varies by region, reflecting the range of planting dates and local conditions across our network. Overall, the crop is on track with seasonal expectations.

Our Commitment to Transparency Throughout the Season

At IOM Grain, we believe buyers deserve visibility into how their supply chain performs — not just at delivery, but throughout the growing season. Regular field monitoring, agronomic documentation, and open communication with our grower partners are part of how we deliver on that commitment.

We will continue sharing season updates as the crop moves through key development stages. If you have questions about supply availability, variety specifications, or our quality assurance processes, we welcome the conversation.
